On December 25th 2016, Sprint to Cite Soleil hosted its first holiday party. The gathering was a success! Not only did kids show up, have fun and play hard, many of the children's families came to watch and support their children. Gen espwa (have hope)!

Another incredible day of practice. The coaches and kids woke up early, motivated to hit the courts and play. After practice, a home cooked meal of rice, beans, veggies and fish was served by our wonderful cooks. Gen espwa (have hope)! Over 200 People Come together for Sprint to Cite Soleil’s First Community Clean Up (Video!)12/23/2016 On December 23rd 2016, Sprint to Cite Soleil organized a cleanup to pick up garbage and clean a neighborhood in Cite Soleil. Over 200 kids, coaches and members of the community came out to help! They worked hard and made a visible change in the streets of their community. Gen espwa (have hope)! The idea for Sprint to Cite Soleil was born when Sam Shapiro walked across an abandoned basketball hoop in 2015. On December 22nd of 2016, that same court was repaired by Sprint to Cite Soleil. With the help of generous community members and the Sprint to Cite Soleil team we were able to put up backboards, basketball hoops and play basketball on this court! It was an exciting day for this Cite Soleil neighborhood! Gen espwa (have hope)!
